VMware Workstation enables technical professionals to develop, test, demo, and deploy software using multiple x86-based Windows, Linux, and other operating systems simultaneously on the same computer.

You can replicate server, desktop, and tablet environments in a virtual machine and reserve multiple CPU cores, gigabytes of main memory, and graphics memory for each virtual machine, regardless of whether the virtual machine resides on a personal computer or in a private company’s cloud.

Solved problems

The following issues have been resolved in VMware Workstation 11.1.

A Linux guest operating system booted with EFI firmware sometimes became unresponsive to the keyboard and mouse if the mouse was touched for a short period of time during the operating system boot. This issue has been resolved.
Outlook 2010 sometimes crashed in Unity mode. This issue has been resolved.
The permanent disk could not be compacted or defragmented. This issue has been resolved.
The user interface sometimes crashed when the user copied and pasted a file between two Windows guests. This issue has been resolved.
Fedora 20 foreign UI elements crashing when 3D is enabled has been resolved.
When creating a new virtual machine with SUSE Linux Enterprise (SLE) 12, the Easy Install path was not available. This issue has been resolved.
