Synopsis
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes a living by carrying out hit-and-runs for the highest fee. He soon meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer, who follows him on a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.. "The Day of the Jackal" the novel took place in 1963 and involved an assassination attempt on then-President of France Charles de Gaulle.
Lynch is completely wrong
The show moves the setting to the present day.. Referenced in Graham Norton and guests: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). Her acting is weak.
It baffles me
Why was she cast in this role when there are plenty of actresses who would be better in this role. Her character is not interesting, but another role of an obsessive agent. Eddie Redmayne can do anything, his acting range is impressive from stage dramas, musicals, films.
He never disappoints
In this role, he is solid in everything he plays. The plot is interesting and captivating….. funny how we cheer for the jackal….
Not for MI6 agent
The location of the series is impressive, and the plot is exciting. It is not comparable to the original, this is a worthy adaptation for our current times.
